Kerry has been a literacy coach and curriculum consultant in NYC public schools for the past five years and, prior to that, taught in both New York City and Southeast Asia before joining the Student Press Initiative at Teachers College. As Director of Programs with SPI, she brings years of experience in the field of educational oral history and project-based learning to her work. She is the author of Project Notes: Conducting Oral History in the Secondary Classroom.

Jim Fenner is the Director of Production for the Student Press Initiative. A graduate of Northwestern University and Columbia's Teachers College, Jim's work with SPI has brought him into collaboration with thousands of talented student authors, artists, teachers and community leaders across the country. This year, Jim is developing a web-based tool to help teachers around the world in their efforts to bring their students through the process of publication.
